A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

Family, church, reading, biking, walking, art exhibits in major cities.

2. Why do you make art?

I love creating and working the complicated methods that go with encaustic wax application. There are so many alternatives to create which is mandatory for the type of stimulation that I need.

3. What inspires you?

Nature is number one. Patterns of all kinds, emotional responses to color and design.

4. What/who are your influences?

Joan Miro, Joan Mitchell, Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Helen Frankenthaler.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Jesus.
